1.Jackhammer drilling (pneumatic, electric)
Portable and convenient, few environmental restrictions. But there are some shortcomings: jackhammer can not drill a big hole or a special-shaped hole, and the hole drilled is not standard. A jackhammer drilling also requires a certain skill, otherwise the hole is easy to crack or acrylic plate broken.
2.Use bench drill
The hole drilled by this method is relative standard.
Disadvantage: it can not drill a big hole or a special-shaped hole. There are some limitations to the position of the hole, drilling holes in the arm length of bench drill. Ordinary families will not have such a machine.
3.Use laser cutting machine
Advantage: the hole drilled is standard, and no restrictions on the size shape and distance for the hole. Only a computer can do it, and the machine can make out most as long as the surface large enough.  
4.Use CNC engraving machine 
Its advantages and disadvantages is same of using a laser cutting machine
